Naomi LaViolette has worked as a professional pianist since 2001. She holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Piano Performance, and she is an in-demand soloist, collaborative pianist and chamber musician. She releases solo piano recordings under the artist name Lucente Skye, and her recordings are regularly featured on streaming platform playlists.

Her piano teachers include Tanya Stambuk, Harold Gray, Mary Kogen, Florence Chino, Jill Gambill and Randy Porter. Naomi has also taught piano and music courses at Portland State University and Clackamas Community College. She has been the accompanist for the Oregon Repertory Singers since 2004, and she has performed collaborative piano for many groups throughout her career, including Choral Crossties, Tacoma Civic Chorus, Vancouver Symphony, Portland Chamber Orchestra, Oregon Symphony Lullaby Project, Fleur de Lis Piano Trio and Porchello chamber ensemble.

Naomi is available for choral residencies as a guest accompanist with choirs that are featuring her choral compositions. She is often hired as a session musician, arranger and producer for recording projects. Naomi performs with Michael Allen Harrison’s Ten Grands concert and she is the keyboardist for She’s Speaking, a collective of female singer-songwriters.
