So far, it’s been a mild winter over here in Oregon… but we never know what February will bring! I hope wherever you are, you are safe and warm. The firehose of disturbing news lately has been a lot for us all to bear, but may we be lifted up by music, friends, nature, and the simple joys that happen every day.

Publishing News
I’m thrilled to announce that “Racing the Moon” SATB/Piano is now published with the JH Music Compose Like A Girl Series!
The Compose Like A Girl Choral Series seeks to empower composers who identify as women through mentorship, editorial direction, publication, and promotion. Compose Like A Girl titles are selected by Jocelyn Hagen, published through JH Music, and distributed by Graphite Publishing.
SAB/Piano and SSA/Piano versions coming soon.

Recent Adventures
What a gift to make music alongside the amazing Dr. Mariana Farah last month at the All State 11th and 12th grade honor choir. Although we only had three days to gel, we really reached an exceptional performance level as a conductor-pianist team with 150 talented young singers.
I absolutely loved the University of Utah choirs’ performance of my piece “Noel” at their holiday concert this past December, which I was able to watch via livestream. For those of you who don’t mind holiday music anytime of the year, or conductors always on the hunt for holiday programming, please enjoy the video of their performance! “Noel” was the finale of their concert.
